Is the foundation still making General Grants or only Impact Grants and Mini-Grants?

General Grants and Impact Grants are combined into one category. All "General" grants must meet Impact criteria and go through our regular grantmaking process with our committee. Mini-Grant applications are forwarded to our donor advised fundholders for their consideration, and there is no guarantee that the grant request will be funded. Youth Fund grants are specific to programs that support youth, and are reviewed and chosen by the Youth Action Committee. 

We can show that our regular programs make a big impact for the people we serve. Can we apply for an Impact Grant?

No, our Community Foundation assumes your regular programs are making a big impact in the lives of the people you serve – otherwise you wouldn’t be providing those programs. We are interested in helping you “move the needle” and reach your strategic goals, not just meet your operating budget.  You can review a list of Impact Grant criteria here.

Should we submit a Preliminary Application by February 4, in order to be considered for funding in 2019?

Yes.

Can an agency apply for more than one grant?

Yes, but only one per category (Impact, Capacity Building, Mini or Youth)
